This weeks Stitching
Not done much over the last couple of weeks due to the time of year. I had hoped to have this finished by now but I am still enjoying doing it.

Not done this for a while.
I had a 3 hour stitchy session last night. I usually grab an hour here or half an hour there but after a 3 hour session. Here's the results
It's on its side but it's a Christmas Angel from card shop. It's lovely to do. Just the right amount of block colours without getting boring.

Finally finished
After 16 hours and 43 minutes stitching and a month later I finally finished my Xmas Exchange a ornament for an exchange I'm doing on WOCS. It's safe to say my stitchy bug has been AWOL over the last month or so. I'm pleased with it and just need to make it into an ornament. Next I'm starting a card for a Christmas exchange. I'm starting it this weekend to give me plenty of time to finish it.

Am going to try and concentrate on this one this week. As well as working on this I'll be finishing off a Christmas exchange ornament which I'm taking part in on the WOCS forum.

Here's an update in the 2 projects I'm currently working on. Unfortunately I've lost my stitchy bug a bit and haven't done much stitching this week. Also Stepping Stones in in danger of becoming a UFO as I haven't done any on it for a month or so. But here's AOY
And here's vintage bicycle

19 July 2013
I'm getting quite a lot of stitching done as I'm waking up at 7am on a morning and the othe Aren't getting up till 9am ish so 2 hours of quiet bliss every morning gives me time to read the papers on line and stitch. Here's an update from yesterday's stitching.

Portugal Stitching
We managed to get a last minute deal to come to Portugal so we came. It's hot hot hot here (the same as in England) but at least here I can sit around and read. I brought an All Our Yesterday's kit which is bigger than I usually bring but with not sleeping very well I knew a cover kit wouldn't be enough and the projects I'm working on at home are too big. I've managed about 3 hours so far and I'm really enjoying it.

28 June 2013
This is this weeks update. I have finished Live Simply last week here's a picture of the finished item.
It took 17 hours and 55 minutes to stitch.
Here's an update of what I've been working on this week.
John Clayton's Stepping Stones is my main project. It's on 28 count even weave and is building up slowly. This is after 23 hours and 42 minutes.
Here's my other project which is actually bigger than I thought it would be. It's finished she will be more A3 size and not the A4 size I thought it was. But it is not densely stitched so hopefully it won't take too long to finish. Its the Vintage Bike from an issue of Cross Stitcher.

Live Simply
Am determined to finish this weekend. It's taken longer than I thought but I am doing it alongside Stepping Stones and I have lost my stitchy bug recently so hopefully my bug will come back with this.

We've been to Heston Blumantalls restaurant and the coach taking us to Windsor races has broken down. So back inside for drinks till new coach arrives then on cruise boat with lots of champers till we get to races. Look at this.

This weeks stitching
Last week I started Stepping Stones by John Clayton. It's building up quickly but it's on even weave and with the muted colours I find it hard doing it on an evening so I've been working on it through the day while the natural light is good. On an evening I've been working on Live Simply as the colours are bright and 14 count aida is sooo much easier to work on. Also cos of the block colours there's not much counting so its great to do while watching tv.

Well after spending an hour stitching then 30 mins unpicking. Then I started again on a baby boy card for my friend. After 3 hours and 45 minutes stitching I am out on the right foot by 3 stitches along and 1 row down. I am going to give up and scrap it. I've totally lost my momentum on it.
I am going back to Live Simply which I am enjoying. This is how far I've got after 6 hours and 15 minutes of stitching.

Holiday stitching
This is my holiday stitching. I didn't get as much done as I hoped but luckily the weather was hotter than expected so I got loads of sun bathing done. But I'm back home now to strong winds and I'm not looking forward to the alarm going off tomorrow for school.

Portugal stitching
Doing an easy stitch on holiday. It's mainly block colours and they're bright too
This is after 3 hours and 22 minutes of stitching over 3 days.
Weather is lovely and doing some sunbathing and hubby and I have just had 2 bottles of wine with lunch something we never do at home. Just chilling now and catching up with some WOCS posts

Yippee I've finally finished Paris Cushion. It wasn't hard going but all the confetti stitching of greys arounds the bottom left of the tower got on my nerves. If I was doing it again I would do this first before I lost momentum.
It obviously needs washing and ironing but I am pleased with the finished results. I'm going to make it into a cushion-I already have the fabric but I'll probably wait until I come back off holiday.
I'm not going to start a new project yet I'm going to finish some WIP's. I have gone back to Rustic Bird from a booklet from Cross Stitcher. Hopefully I'll have it finished in a day or so. This is how much I'd done before I put it down
Then my decision will be which project do I take on holiday with me?????

Started on the free gift from this months WOCS as I've lost momentum with Paris Cushion so I'm hoping to go back to it when I've finished this little cutie. This picture is after 3 hours 45 minutes stitching. The good thing about Bank Holidays is I don't feel guilty about stitching through the day-the bad thing is we've had visitors come and go all day so I've been picking it up and putting it down.
I might unpick the lettering and redo it using 2 strands so it stands out more. There's only the back stitching to do and it's ready to be made into a hanging
Monday, 25 March 2013
It's been hard going this week as I've lost my stitchy bug. I've not done much stitching this weekI've had a busy week with a concert on at the school which was fun-it was called Back to the 80's. Also Anna had been to France so she was to collect on Monday night so no stitchy time then.
I am finding the Paris cushion hard going!!! All the greys around the bottom of the Eifel Tower has become a bit boring and and the greys a nightmare so I'm trying to do 30 minutes at a time on this. This picture is after 34 hours and 15 minutes of stitching.
I've also been working on the Rustic Bird from Cross Stitcher's Rustic Style Booklet. I am enjoying this but the colours are so light I like to try and do this through the day when there's natural light. This is after 6 hours and 27 minutes of stitching

I started this Paris cushion on 29 January-it's from Cross Stitcher
I took this picture on 12 January- it's after about 14 hours of stitching-it's stitching up quickly-I must admit being out of work has some advantages-I'm getting mor chances to stitch. I'm waiting for some threads to come-hopefully they'll be here soon and I can start the filling in of colours in the tower.
This is the 6 January- it's a lot of block colours so it's easy to do

New to this so here goes
I did this for my daughter as we use to have a kitten who looked like this. It was a bit difficult as I did it on 14 count and there was loads of 'squashed' stitches- if I were to do it again I'd use evenweave. I finished it on 17 January 2013 but started it in 2012.
I did this for my daughter-she didn't want the rosette on it-just liked the idea of having the 2 dogs. I started it in 2012 but finished it thurday 22 January after 19 hours and 59 minutes of stitching during 2013 (I didn't time myself during 2012). I'm hoping to make it into a cushion.
I completed this on 25 January 2013-it took me 2 hours and 3 minutes to stitch. I put it into a keyring
I completed this on 28 January from Cross Stitcher
